Tri Pointe Homes is developing La Cova, a luxury housing community in Henderson, Nevada, according to Realtor.com. The development sits inside the gated SouthShore Lake Las Vegas community, located about 15 miles southeast of the Las Vegas Strip. Lake Las Vegas is a 320-acre private artificial reservoir. [1]
The SouthShore Lake Las Vegas enclave spans 3,592 acres and was mostly built out in the early 1990s, Realtor.com reported. The master-planned area features multiple gated communities, luxury homes, and a country club with the first Jack Nicklaus designed championship golf course. Tri Pointe Homes Las Vegas Division President Klif Andrews stated that the location was once considered very remote but has since evolved. [1]
Gated communities are residential developments that feature strictly controlled access points for pedestrians and vehicles, enclosed by perimeter walls or fences. These communities often contain shared amenities ranging from common parks to extensive facilities that allow residents to complete daily activities on site. [3]
In a separate development, Goodwin Living has broken ground on a 360 million dollar senior housing community, according to Business Insider. The project comes in response to rising regional demand for senior housing facilities. [2]
