A trust associated with actors John Krasinski and Emily Blunt sold a ninth-floor apartment in the Standish building in Brooklyn Heights for $6.5 million, Curbed reported. Public property records made available on Wednesday show that the off-market transaction took place in June. [1]
The buyers of the apartment used a limited liability company to conceal their identity, according to Curbed. The pre-war Beaux-Arts building was originally built as a hotel in 1903 before being converted into residential units. [1]
The transaction indicates that the couple purchased the property nearly three years ago for $5 million, Curbed reported. Krasinski, who starred as Jim Halpert in the sitcom The Office, and Blunt, an award-winning British actress, previously held a suite of units in the building. [1][3][5]
Brooklyn Heights is a residential neighborhood in Brooklyn bordered by Atlantic Avenue, Old Fulton Street, Cadman Plaza West, and the East River. It sits adjacent to the neighborhoods of Dumbo, Downtown Brooklyn, Cobble Hill, and Boerum Hill. [4]
