Calgary residential real estate transactions declined by more than 15 per cent in October compared with the same period last year, the Calgary Herald reported. Data from the Calgary Real Estate Board indicates that high density housing experienced the most significant downward price pressure, with row homes and apartments seeing the largest impacts. [1]
New property listings in the city decreased by more than nine per cent compared with October 2025, according to the Calgary Herald. The drop in new supply contributed to an overall inventory decline of 4.6 per cent relative to October 2025 levels. Properties also remained on the market 2.2 per cent longer than they did during the same month last year. [1]
The slowing performance in Calgary follows broader real estate softening reported across other Western markets, as FTMQ Real Estate reported earlier. Single family home values in Palm Springs recorded a 1.4 per cent year over year decrease in September to an average price of $1,102,246, while California statewide home sales dropped 6.5 per cent year over year to a 260,410 annualized unit pace.
